I. Introduction

Now, because of the Buddhist colleagues in Japan, the East Asian Buddhist Conference is set up to bring together Buddhist leaders from all over Asia to strengthen the friendship of East Asian Buddhists, to study and promote Buddhist teachings in a coordinated manner, to develop the social and educational undertakings of Buddhism, to enhance human culture, and to promote world peace. I want to initiate the World Buddhist Federation, with the main purpose of promoting the Dharma and relieving this world, and I am fortunate to win the meeting, and I respect my Asian Buddhist compatriots to say their outline, and I am fortunate to observe it!

2. Only Buddhism can save this world

What is this world? The world of a great war also. wars between nations and great calamities to come, the revenge of the defeated nations; the war between nations and nations, and the great calamity in the future, in the joint resistance of the weak and small races; class war with class, and the great calamity to come, reaction at the toiling levels; These three ends have made it impossible for the hegemonic powers, imperialists, and bourgeoisie to cling to the status quo of the world, to settle down for a day! If the family fights with the family, the neighborhood and the township party will be thorny! When people fight with each other, the father and son become snakes and scorpions! Thieves are all over the countryside, tigers and wolves are born in the seats, and they don't know how to do it! Madness, not everyone tends to commit suicide can not be stopped, this solid world has no Europe, no beauty, no Asia and otherwise the phenomenon is also! In this way, natural disasters are even more compelling: earthquakes, floods, droughts, and storms. Who's doing it? And the world is so impoverished that it is a pole! On the surface, inter-class capitalism and international hegemonism -- imperialism -- are actually two poisonous dragons that stir things up. However, this is already a matter that is harmful to their government, and those who are born in their hearts are based on the theory of evolution based on the observation of living things, and the competition caused by the selfish desires of the fat body and the Tibetan people is the only mother of evolution, and the wealth and strength occupied by the competition of selfish desires are the only fruit of evolution. As a result of competing for profit in order to get rich, the capitalist class of the few will become the result of the majority of the toilers, and the majority of the toilers will be depressed. As a result of wrestling with each other to become stronger, a small number of hegemonic states will be established, while the majority of the weak will suffer from deep grievances. The people of the world are dazzled by the results of "abundant products" and "fierce weapons" obtained by the competition of material desires, and praise the evolution of civilization in the present world, but they do not know that they have actually fallen into human beings and beasts! Because of the hypersensitivity of consciousness, you can't be satisfied with the life of the beasts you have created, and you will turn into dry bones and strong stones! Whew! We swim in the world of becoming a beast and will be withered and strong, such as being in the tomb, sorrow comes from it, and I don't know where it goes! Therefore, the differences between the civilization of this world and the ancient civilization are discussed, the ancient civilization is either the benevolence and righteousness of humanity, or the worship and cultivation of the gods, or the adaptation of the Dharma, so as to develop life and achieve enlightenment; And the civilization of this world, in order to imitate animals to compete to satisfy the "rich" and "strong" animal desires, should be said to be the civilization of animal desires, animal desires are about to be exhausted, and my Buddhist colleagues are not sad to rescue you!

This world is tragic and must be saved, but only the Dharma can save it, so what can I say? And to bring down capitalism, is there no socialism? To destroy imperialism, there is no anarchism? Overthrowing competitive evolutionism, isn't there a mutual aid and pacifism? Said: Only only, no no, yes are all in chaos, water to save water, fire to fight fire, the name is said to be more. With the same poison of greed, hatred, and ignorance, they incite the opportunity to kill, steal, and commit adultery. Confucianism, which represents humanity, benevolence and righteousness, is devoured by the beast, and is dying. Although we are the one who is in charge for the sake of the first life, we only care about this, but we do not take the law from it, and we cannot get it. The Divine Cult that represents the Heavenly Dao of Worship and Cultivation—Heaven, Foundation, Hui, Dao, Brahman, etc.—has been destroyed and cannot be restored in the fierce knowledge of mankind in this world. The gods themselves have lost their basis in scientific reasoning and philosophical criticism, and how can they redeem the beastly desires of the madness and rage and justify the virtues of men? Therefore, the upper poor heavenly demons, gods and Brahmans, and the lower pole skills and acrobatics have no place to return to the pure; Only the Dharma of the Supreme Enlightened One, and the people who interpret it, are emotional, volitional, intellectual, and all kinds of perfection that can be relied upon. By the people of faith and karma, the body, speech and mind, the nature of the five constants, and the ten good deeds are prosperous; Therefore, only Buddhism can save this world.

3. Its responsibility lies with the Buddhists in Asia

Only Buddhism can save this world, and Buddhism was founded in Asia, spread in Asia, and is still known to Asians today. Therefore, if you want to restore Buddhism in Asia and spread it in Europe and the United States, so that the Europeans and Americans who have caused the beastly world will also recover their humanity from Buddhism, their responsibility is not for Asian Buddhists. This hope is that Buddhists all over Asia feel that they have an unshirkable responsibility, and they have no other affiliation, and they stand up to the Buddha and Bodhisattva to guide the people, which is the only major cause and cause for living in the world!

4. How Asian Buddhists should work together?

All over Asia, the Chinese, Mongolian, and Tibetan Buddhists, and the Japanese Xian and Taiwanese Buddhists are generally Mahayana Buddhism. The Buddhists of Siam, India, Burma, Annam, and the Nanyang Islands are generally Hinayana Buddhism. Although the customs and sects are different in different places, they must flow from the Dharma of Shakyamuni Buddha. Explore the origins, be born from the mouth of the Buddha, be born from the law, and be close to the flesh and blood, and not to fake the customs of a certain country and a certain sect to separate them. When the great compassion of the Buddha Shakyamuni and the righteousness of the six and all the people work together to seek the supreme wisdom to illuminate the darkness of the world. The following points are as follows:

A. The mutual understanding of Buddhism in China and Japan, including Mongolia, Tibet, and Buddhism, has four shorts and four longs: benefiting social undertakings and indoctrination social undertakings, which are extremely underdeveloped, and only the relationship between ignorant couples and the masses such as recommending death and seeking blessings is short. Although the monasteries are marked with different sects and teachings, there are differences in the origins of the sects, but their content is either not practical - if the Zen temple does not participate in Zen and so on - or mixed with the study of fresh specialization - if it is a meditation study and precepts for sutra confession, etc., it is short. Xi is called Fangwai, and he treats the world as if he is incompatible, and is ignored by those who govern the country. Lack of scientific knowledge, in the representative of modern Western thought, rarely understood, dull and stale, the statement can not be in line with the opportunity of the world, short four. Those above can hide in the mountains and forests, publish the glory and profit, the thatched tent of the cave, the meditation hall of the closed house, the sweet and bitter food, the precepts are cultivated, and the long one. Zen, purity, law, preaching, Taiwan, virtuous, sexuality, phase, salty no dictatorship, not strict door to exclude, long two. Not bound by the national nature, Buddhism today has the wind of independence from the world, which is in line with the nature of Buddhism beyond the world. Although the Sui and Tang dynasties have undergone changes in Chinese studies, but not due to the changes in modern ideology and culture, we can still get a glimpse of the pure truth of Buddhism. Japan, including Taiwan, Korea, and Buddhists with organizations, can do economic and educational social undertakings, Changyi. Each sect has its own mountain branch monastery and specialized schools, and there are institutions for educating specialized talents and publicizing the teachings of the sects. All can be patriotic and contribute to the country, and they are important citizens in the country. For the Western cultural ideas that represent the modern age, it has been fully tolerated, and it can be used to study Buddhism to adapt to modern thought. Self-cultivation such as taking precepts, chanting sutras, practicing Zen, etc., is gradually despised, and ascetic practices such as sitting, knotting, and retreating—according to which Tibet is the most—are not practiced at all. Emphasis is placed on the lineage of various sects, and there is a lack of unity of Buddhism as a whole, and even more than ten sects have the tendency to split into more than ten religions. Although there is a Buddhist federation, it is only the liaison of various sects, and cannot form a whole, and it is for the benefit of one sect. The heart of the country is too heavy, there is a tendency to regard Buddhism as one of the small parts of a large national machine, and the spirit of Buddhism is universal in the world. Therefore, the academic circles of the whole country focus on scientific thought, and Buddhists also judge the teachings of Buddhism based on science, and lose the special meaning of Buddhism and supermodern science. The Buddhism that is taught is often like water washing away milk, and there is no smell of milk, and it is short. The four shorts of this Chinese Buddha disciple are the four lengths of the Buddhas of the same day, the four lengths of the Chinese Buddhas, and the four shorts of the Buddhas of the day. I hope that the four short and long can understand each other, learn from their strengths, and make up for their shortcomings, so that the Chinese and Japanese Buddhists can really remove the estrangement and join hands to spread Buddhism in the world.

(b) I am not well aware of the mutual learning of Indian, Burmese, Siam, Siam, and other Buddhists in India, Burma, Siam, Nanyang, and the rest of the world, and it is difficult for me to discuss it. However, all of them are Hinayana teachings, and in response to today's needs, they are by no means limited to Hinayana teachings, so they hope that Buddhist colleagues in India, Burma, and Siam can come to China, Han, Tibet, Japan, and study abroad. Myanmar, Siam, Ceylon, etc., still use Buddhist culture to pass through the country, and the people who have turned the people into customs will have a unique enlightened and grand way to take advantage of the good law, and Chinese and Japanese Buddhists must also go to study abroad to know the truth; After learning from each other, we can really work together to make a difference.

C. The Buddha is a prince who is a borderless order, and his spirit of becoming a monk and going abroad is consistent. In ancient times, the root of the realm of desire, having a home at home, such as being a prisoner, so those who really practice the Dharma from the Buddha must become a monk. Now I want to expand my roots, especially in the country, so I must go abroad as a monk. There must be a spirit beyond the family and the country, so that it is enough to look at the world equally, to look at all sentient beings, to bear the Dharma, and to transform the heavens. By looking at the small religion of Christ and others, one is the use of the country, and it is criticized by the world and falls into its teachings, and there is no boundless Buddhism! However, if we do not form a religious order that transcends national borders and has no borders, then this spirit that transcends national boundaries has no place to return, and it is easy to be constrained by national customs, and it cannot be expressed as independent and helpless. Therefore, I have the initiation of the World Buddhist Federation, and I hope that all Asian Buddhist colleagues can pay attention to this!

V. How to do so in order to fulfill its responsibilities

(a) The cultivation of talents among the followers is planned to establish a world Buddhist university to cultivate talents in all aspects of the grand tradition of Buddhism. Hereby make a table to the effect that:

Methods: Establish schools, compile books, write and stage plays, and gather people to give speeches. 2. Places: cities, towns, roads, boats, barracks, prisons, factories, hospitals. 3. Persuasion: love the group, abide by the law, be diligent, help each other, adjust the body, cherish things, peace, integrity, release life, and chant Buddha.

Fourth, stop evil: fight again, quit theft, quit prostitution, quit luxury, quit smoking, quit gambling, uphold the family, uphold customs, and uphold etiquette. 2. Buddhism for the benefit of the world: 1. Disaster relief: aid and drowning, relief from famine, fire fighting, treatment of military injuries, etc. 2. Helping the poor: passing on craftsmanship and reclaiming wasteland. 3. Poverty alleviation: providing for the elderly, preserving chastity, and being completely disabled. Fourth, convenience: set up lights, build bridges and roads, and set up boats and ferries.
