buddhism is the source of all blessings. if you want to benefit sentient beings and help sentient beings get happiness, you must rely mainly on "good causes". first of all, distinguish between good and evil, and teach sentient beings to understand the way to achieve good and abandon evil, so that they can benefit all sentient beings.

the purpose of protecting buddhism is to enable all sentient beings to finally achieve ultimate happiness. therefore, we must have long-term plans in terms of motivation and behavior and think that "this is a very great cause."

otherwise, if you only protect your own sect, for example: when reading scriptures, you will often see the views of protecting your own sect, or call yourself an okakura practitioner.

if you do things for the benefit of a certain sect, a temple, or a few people, such as karma kagyu, it will hinder the promotion of buddhism.

everything we do is for the prosperity of buddhism. if buddhism can prosper, it can naturally benefit all sentient beings. therefore, we must develop a great kindness based on this motivation.

otherwise, no matter how you read the scriptures, your selfishness will become stronger and stronger, and your mind will become more and more stubborn. in this way, our listening, thinking and practice will go astray.

therefore, i hope everyone must be cautious and clear about their motivations and thinking. in short, i will serve everyone as much as possible. i hope everyone will seize this perfect opportunity, pay special attention to their own motivations, and try to make their own motivations good.

if the motivation is wrong, it is difficult to achieve anything you do. even if you are initially on track, there will be no good results in the end. therefore, it is very important to retain the original good motivation.
