do not create oral karma, the consequences will increase with the spread - you must know that among the three karmas of "body, speech and mind" in buddhism, oral karma is particularly important. buddhism regards oral karma as the "door to suffering and the beginning of disasters and burdens." an old saying also says: illness comes from the mouth, and disaster comes from the mouth. it can be seen how important it is to protect our "mouth". many disasters in the world come from the karma of oral karma. many tragedies in the world are also caused by the karma of oral karma, such as disunity between units, divorce between husband and wife, etc., which leads to people suspicion, slander each other, and harsh words. as a result, they naturally make enemies, make relationships tense, and even lead to scenes of tragedy.
it can be seen that oral karma causes great harm to ourselves. if a person is despised or respected, or whether he has credit, what he says is very important. if you speak badly, people will say that this person is really rude and unpolite. if you speak insincerely, you can deceive others once or twice, but you can't deceive others again. in the end, even if you tell the truth, others will regard it as a lie. you cannot say that others are wrong, and you cannot spread it. in this way, evil karma will increase with the number of people spreading, and every spreader will increase evil karma. the sins that first create oral karma will increase the fastest and greatest, and the consequences will be aggravated.
therefore, karma gives people two eyes, two ears and a mouth, which is intended to make people look more, listen more and speak less. because watching and listening more can increase people's knowledge and wisdom, and speaking less can keep people away from right and wrong. so, what are the types of oral karma? buddhism divides oral karma into four types: abusive mouth, slander, lies, and frivolous words. i am evil and ill-mouthed, and there are many types of ill-mouthed words. generally speaking, i believe that all the people in society listen to more bad words than me. two tongues mean two tongues, and if one person has two tongues?
this is an adjective, which means to spread the word and wrong. if xiang dong’s family moves to the west, then move it over and move it over. the two people who were originally reconciled are provoked, resulting in the breakdown of their relationship. this is a slander. the third type of oral karma is lies. lies are talking about false words. the words said do not match the facts, which are lies. the fourth type is frivolous speech, which means that the words said on the surface seem to be a very nice sentence, but there is hidden deception and confusion, which incites people to lose their minds and mindfulness. such words are frivolous speech.
what kind of consequences will be caused by these four oral karma? it is mentioned in buddhist scriptures that some people are deaf and dumb, while some people cannot speak clearly even though they speak. in the "three life cause and effect sutra", it says: "why are deaf and dumb in this life? i scold my parents in my previous life." these are all caused by oral karma. in the "dikksvara sutra", we also talk about the serious consequences of oral karma: "in the joints of all limbs, long nails are placed under the joints of the limbs, the tongue is pulled down and plows, the intestines are slashed, the mouth is swelled with molten copper, the mouth is swelled with hot iron, and the karma is like this, and the karma is moved thousands of kalpas, and the search is endless."
in other words, long nails are completely nailed into the joints of the body, pull out the tongue, and plow it with iron. these retributions of sins are all retributions such as making trouble during life, such as bad words, slander, frivolous words, and false words. some intestines were pulled out and cut them off with a knife, and poured them down from the mouth with cooked copper juice, making the mouth, throat and internal organs burnt, and even the iron burnt red to wrap the body. after a day and night, they died and died, and they died, so it is said that death and life are caused by such a terrible consequence.
the consequences of oral karma can be said to be very powerful. moreover, among our three karmas of body, speech and mind, speech is the easiest to create. therefore, lawyer daoxuan of the tang dynasty warned buddhists not to commit verbal karma, so as to avoid suffering from falling into the cycle of reincarnation: "ordinary people who study taoism can only know their own minds. if they do the following, they will be vilified. if they carefully observe, they will be jealous of others. if they value virtue, they can achieve success. if they are far away from the quiet place, sit upright and think. but if they observe their own actions, do not say that they are short of their mouths, and do not talk about their tongues, and be silent and soft. ignorance is deaf and blind, and i have a real treasure in my inner wisdom, and i am happy and quiet, and i am free from laziness and laziness in my practice."
therefore, oral karma can cause great harm to a person. there is a saying: "a word is a catastrophe." it means that you do not speak easily, and once you say it, you will never break your promise easily. therefore, the ancients said, "too much words will lead to mistakes." therefore, we must think twice before we act when speaking and doing things. if we pay great attention to our words, we will reduce the chance of making mistakes. therefore, the "dharma sutra" says: "when a lady is in her mouth, the axe is in her mouth, so she cuts her body by her evil words." this means that in this world, an axe is in her mouth, and this axe will cut her body into her body, that is, because of bad words. in other words, speaking bad words hurts itself, not others. so be careful not to say bad things and not to create verbal karma. therefore, the buddha's "awakening the world" volume 4 tells the monks in a verse:
when all the people in the world are alive, their tongues will naturally develop.
the so-called saying that all evil poisons and evil will also cause damage to the body.
those who should praise do not praise, and those who should not praise do not talk about beauty.
such a thing is called a verbal dispute, and because of this dispute, there is no pleasure in it.
if a person gains wealth through playing, it is a minor dispute in the world.
the turbid mind of a pure practitioner is called a great fight in his mouth.
such thirty-six hundred thousand, nilofutu hell,
five hells and fall into the botoma prison.
because of destroying the saints to do such things, they do evil through their oral karma.
therefore, language is the most beautiful and vicious thing in the world. their power may sometimes be terrible, and sometimes it can even determine a person's destiny. in interpersonal communication, it is best not to say what you can say or not. don’t say what you haven’t considered, and don’t say what is not conducive to unity. in daily life, as long as you do not listen to right and wrong, do not talk about right and wrong, and do not spread right and wrong, you will inevitably stay away from right and wrong. in this way, we can do what is as gude said: there is no anger on the face and no anger on the mouth to exude a wonderful fragrance. no anger in the heart is the pure land, and no defilement or attachment is the true permanence.
