《the ksitigarbha sutra says that before the buddha was about to pass away, he went to the trayastrimsa heaven to preach to his mother, mrs. maya, and repay the kindness of the mother of her birth. the sutra also talks in detail about the great vow of ksitigarbha bodhisattva in order to save all sentient beings in order to save all sentient beings in order to achieve bodhi. therefore, the "ksitigarbha sutra" is called the buddhist filial piety sutra. the first blessing of the three blessings of pure karma mentioned in the "amitabha sutra" is to filial piety to parents, respect teachers and elders, and be kind and not kill. then we can often recite the "ksitigarbha sutra" and learn the spirit of ksitigarbha bodhisattva to repay their parents' kindness, and we can cultivate very special blessings and merits.

we live in this saha world, and not everything is fulfilling. for example, the lack of food and clothing, the entanglement of diseases, and the encounter of various bad events, which make our body and mind uneasy hinder our lives and our practice of reciting the buddha's name. good deed said: only when the body is safe will the tao be prosperous. for ordinary people, there must be some demands for food, clothing, housing and transportation, and there must be some concerns about natural disasters and man-made disasters. if we can listen to the "ksitigarbha sutra" or even read and recite them, the sutra will say that we can have sufficient food, clothing, no disease or epidemics, eternal peace of mind, fulfill our homes and houses, increase our lifespan, eliminate waste, protect our in and out of gods, and get rid of all disasters, etc., which can calm our body and mind, chant the buddha's name with peace of mind and practice.
not only that, the "sutra of the original vow of ksitigarbha bodhisattva" is in line with the roots of modern people, and is very consistent with the aids of our practitioners in the dharma-ending age. in the preface to the "ksitigarbha sutra", master lianchi said: some of the sutras are related to the cause and effect of sentient beings, the names and appearances of hell, and there is no further mystery, which is not enough to be seen in the new world. why use it to correct it? it means that some people think that after all, the ksitigarbha sutra talks about the cause and effect of sentient beings. there is no mysterious theory, but just about the names and causes and effects of hell, and there is nothing refreshing about it. so why bother to correct it again?
next, master lianchi used another metaphor to illustrate that the "dipankara sutra" is suitable for the roots of sentient beings in our dharma-ending age. alas, this is an exclamation. alas, cloth, silk, beans, millet, are not as good as pearls in normal times. in bad years, it is the most treasure. how can this sutra be lost in the bad years of saving the dharma-ending age? this means that our usual coarse cloth clothes and ordinary food are not as good as the pearl in a peaceful and prosperous era, but in this hungry and harsh year, we are really treasures. it can save many lives and can save lives. just like the dharma-real and dharma-like era of buddhism, we know that it is over now, and now is the dharma-ending age, which is the bad year for what we are talking about. at this time, we will talk to you about the profound and wonderful dharma, and to be honest, it is difficult for everyone to understand. even after listening, how many people can do it? the "ksitigarbha sutra" can help sentient beings understand the cause and effect, and can follow the "ksitigarbha sutra" to filial piety and respect teachers, which benefit all sentient beings and do this kind of cause and effect, so that sentient beings in the dharma-ending age can be saved. therefore, according to the great masters of the ancestors, we will study the "sutra of the original vow of ksitigarbha bodhisattva" together today. we hope that everyone can practice and practice this sutra in addition to chanting the buddha's name, so as to serve as our help in chanting the buddha's name and to be reborn in the pure land.
