on this special day, please keep a pure and broad mind, and do good deeds based on the three gates of body, speech and mind to eat vegetarian food, chant buddha's name, release animals, offer lamps, chant mantras, etc. dedicate merits and pray for peace in the world, peace and peace in all living beings, and no disasters!

according to the "personal sutra", guanyin was the prince of the wheel-turning holy king wujing, whose name was unrestrained. he made great wishes to develop great compassion to eliminate all sufferings and troubles of sentient beings, so that they can live and be happy. for this treasure, tathagata named him guanyin.

guanyin bodhisattva has great compassion and equality and selflessness. when sentient beings encounter any difficulties and pains, if they can sincerely recite guanyin bodhisattva, they will be rescued by the bodhisattva. moreover, guanyin bodhisattva is best able to adapt to the requirements of sentient beings, and to different sentient beings, they will manifest different bodies and teach different methods. among the many bodhisattvas in buddhism, guanyin bodhisattva is also the most well-known and believed among the people.

twelve great vows of guanyin bodhisattva

first: guangfa hong vow:

make great vows and great wishes to save all sentient beings and eliminate troubles.

second: i wish to live in the south china sea forever:

spread the sea to save confusing sentient beings, and have good thoughts on guanyin of the south china sea.

third: seeking a voice to save suffering:

i have to sleep in a high bed for all kinds of illnesses, and sincerely remember the great master to be healthy.

fourth: can eliminate dangers:

praying thousands of places to respond to it, and always a boat to save people from suffering.

fifth: the nectar spreads your wishes:

guanyin ci sprinkled the nectar of dew, and the worries turned into lotus.

sixth: always practice equality:

amitabha blessing always has thoughts, just like guanyin’s equal mind.

seventh: vow to destroy the three paints:

guanyin bodhisattva saves the suffering and wishes to overcome the three obstacles.

eighth: the wish of liberation from the shackles:

be determined and abide by the mind and avalokitesvara, and be liberated by the pain of the shackles.

ninth: the wish to save all sentient beings:

all sentient beings vow to save them, and they are diligent and compassionate in a sea of ​​endless disasters.

tenth: admission to the west:

induce the pure land in the void, and sincerely recite guanyin.

eleven: amitabha’s vow to receive the memory:

guanyin was diligent and great in his vows, and amitabha received the record of the buddhas of the world.

twelve: practice the twelve vows:

the twelve great vows are profound, and sentient beings realize the supreme path together.
