For example, if someone sits here, even though he holds the Diamond Sutra in his hand, he is also protecting his thoughts, what kind of thoughts does he protect? A troubled thought, unhappy.
I can't tell why I'm upset, I don't even know myself, and the doctor can't see it, this is the situation of life, and I'm always in trouble.
What's the trouble? More often than not, it is "looking for sorrow and hatred for no reason", which is a word in the Dream of Red Mansions, describing a person's mood.
Everyone is so, "for no reason", for no reason; "Looking for sorrow and hatred", I can't say it in my heart, and I am so annoyed. The result? Complaining all day long.
The human mind contains 84,000 troubles in one thought, and this is our life.
Once you are freed from such troubles, you will become a Buddha with a single thought, it's that simple. But in your behavior, you have to protect the mind, and you have to take care of the thought at all times.
"Caring for the mind" is the beginning of all practice, and it is also the success and consummation of all Buddhas. This main problem is that the Vajra Eye of the Diamond Sutra is the positive eye of the Diamond Sutra, the Dharma Eye.
What are the real difficulties in spiritual practice? It is the "good protection of thoughts".
True cultivation, whether it is a monk at home, has only three words: good care.
The Diamond Sutra is talking about the practice of the great prajna, which is not pure prajna, but the body of the prajna, which is the body of the path, and the practice of seeing the body of the path.
At the beginning, we will first tell us how to practice the precepts, which is the main point of "good protection thoughts", and from the beginning of the heart to the final Buddhahood, it is by relying on good protection thoughts.
02. What is the idea of good protection?
There is no dwelling, and the past is over. Non-abiding is concentration, good protection is the precept, and the Prajna of the Diamond Sutra itself is wisdom, which is the principle of taking the precepts to fix the wisdom to explain the Diamond Sutra itself, and the Prajna Method is like this.
"There is no self, no one, no sentient beings, no longevity", to protect this thought is to keep the vows.
The "Diamond Sutra" also says that "all the Dharma has no self, and it must be achieved through forbearance", which is even more serious. What is forbearance? This forbearance is a great state in Dharma practice.
Jingyun: "At the beginning of a thought, there is no first phase, which is the true protection of thoughts." ”
There is only one sentence in the "Diamond Sutra", and when you understand it, you will realize the Tao - "If you come to protect the Bodhisattvas, you will be good at giving instructions to the Bodhisattvas", and all the cultivation methods are only two words: "Protecting the Mind".

Therefore, the scripture says, "When a thought arises, there is no first phase", and thoughts together are like foams on water, rising and empty. "It's the true protector", so that the true protector is solved, and it is also really unintentional.
Patriarch Bodhidharma came to China to preach Zen, and there are four sentences in practice, which everyone generally does not pay attention to, "Outside the fate of the world, there is no breath in the heart." The heart is like a wall, and you can enter the Tao. ”
Rest on the outside, let go of everything outside, at any time; There is no breath in the heart, why do you use this gasp word?
Panting, we generally think of it as breathing, the heart is still, the breath is stopped, the heart is still, the mind is also dwelling in the realm of breathing, all distracting thoughts and delusions are dwelling, that is, there is no breathing in the heart. This is the Diamond Sutra's Benevolence.
The heart is like a wall, it's not that you have heart disease, it's that you are isolated from the inside and outside, and the outside environment is noisy and chaotic, it doesn't matter, your heart is still pure, so your heart is like a wall and it's isolated.
When the heart is a monk, that is the real monk.
Always take care of your own heart-moving thoughts, don't move bad thoughts, and even "don't move thoughts", and your thoughts are as if they are not moving.
