这无量的功德是透过六字洪名传达给行人的，能令行人顿获如来藏的功德，喻为“如染香人”。这个“香”是五分法身之香，即戒香、定香、慧香、解脱香、解脱知见香。

是故，这三句经文把念佛法门名具万德、名召万德、全摄佛功德为自功德的奥义和盘托出，吾辈净业行人当依教奉行。
